The
WSU 4-H Mobile Technology Program is able to bring diverse
educational opportunities to limited access areas, engaging 4-H
youth and their community partners, through means of:
The Mobile Technology Van
-- a full size van that houses a computer cart with 15 laptops and
has a satellite dish that provides internet connectivity to the
laptop cart that can be rolled into a classroom. All of this is
done through the wireless network.
The
Mobile Technology Lab -- a set of 15 computer laptops stored
in portable cases that and can be set up as a wireless network of
computers in minutes. Additionally, it comes with a network router,
printer, and digital camcorder.
On
location trainings are available to groups of Youth and Adult Partnerships
-- including 4-H Clubs, County 4-H Leader Councils, and Military
Youth Clubs. Van Driver training, required by WSU, is offered through
WSU Human Resource Services.
