Four Patch Pillow
Goal: What will be learned by this project?
To sew straight, follow directions, match seams, press, select fun color combinations, and stuff a pillow.
Materials Needed:
| One 19-1/2" x 19-1/2" square from fabric A. |
|
|
| Two 10" x 10" squares from fabric A. | ||
| Two 10" x 10" squares from fabric B. | ||
| Sewing machine | ||
| Matching thread to complement colors chosen. | ||
| Sewing notions, scissors, tape measure, pins, etc. | ||
Directions to make this project:
Lay one small square of B right side up. Lay one square of A wrong side up on top. They are "right sides together" the way most seams are sewn. Stitch this 5/8" from cut edge. Press seam open.

Repeat step 1 with the other two squares. Lay one sewn together piece on top of the other. Lay so that fabric A is on top of fabric B and visa-versa. This gives you a checkerboard effect. See Diagram. Stitch this 5/8" from cut edge. The pillow top is complete.
Press open seams.
To finish, go to "Basic Pillow", step 2.
