4-H Know Your Government
Conference 2010
“Constructing a Platform —
Bill by Bill”
February 13–16, 2010, Olympia
|
The Know Your Government (KYG) Conference serves
to strengthen the connection between youth and our
political and social networks through education, experience,
application, and inspiration. This connection will
motivate delegates to be participants in democracy.
This year youth will delve into the inner workings of
the legislative system. Delegates will learn about the
legislative process, roles, and how to write a bill using
the Revised Code of Washington (RC W). By participating
in the process to pass bills, they will also learn
parliamentary procedure, negotiation, and persuasive
speaking skills.
