Objectives:
- learn to use accepted practices for mental, physical, and
emotional health, and to respect yourself and others
- develop skills, knowledge, and attitudes for lifelong use
- practice leadership skills and roles, take part in
community affairs, and demonstrate citizenship
responsibility
- develop integrity, sportsmanship, decision-making
capability, and public speaking skills through
participation in demonstrations, tours, judging,
or exhibits
- learn and apply recommended principles of poultry
production
- demonstrate a knowledge of sound breeding, feeding,
and management practices
- identify breeds, types of poultry, and employ efficient
marketing methods
- explore career, job, and productive leisure opportunities
